The taste is very bitter, yet the potency is paramount benefiting for healthy body and hair growth!

I was surprised about the delicious vegetables soup that was made with the crunchy bites of the Fenugreek seeds. The liquid set aside after cooking the seeds is what I use to sip on as well as use some as a hair refreshing spray. I felt the difference in my hair immediately.

Great Source of Nutrition for Urban Homesteading

Fenugreek is an excellent source of nutrition. In addition, it is very simply to grow at home. All I do is risen once or twice a day. And direct sunlight is not necessary.Once they are ready to eat, simply rinse thoroughly and enjoy. I like to throw some on my salads or blend them in my Vitamix to make a vitamin&mineral-packed protein shake.I grow my Fenugreek seeds in 1500ml/6 cups/48oz jars using these grow lids:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SMWQ2LZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Although growing them in the normal sized ball jars is just as good. And these grow lids fit on both. In fact, they fit on any jar, as long as it is the wide-mouth mason style jar. So Kerr, Ball, etc.It only takes about 7-8 days until your seeds are fully ready to eat. I have six jars all growing one day after the other, so I have always have new sprouts in the pipeline that are fresh, ripe & ready to eat. This is a simple, affordable, and easy way to get your nutrients in!I recommend this product.

    Quality fenugreek seeds

First of all, addressing some of the reviews I read before, these things are supposed to be hard! That means they aren’t rotten. Put some elbow grease into it, ground them with a pestle and mortar, or use a coffee grinder. They give your curries that special something.

    Naturally lowers glucose

With this and Insulin Plant, Berberine, apple cider vinegar, fenugreek seeds and powdered Ceylon cinnamon in my coffee daily… my sugars went from 300 down to 120 in less than 2 weeks. No side effects I highly recommend.

    Addicted

I’m afraid I’ve become quite addicted to my fenugreek seeds. I have 4 8zo swing top bottles on my counter at all times – we even went camping and my seeds were the one thing I refused to skip. I’m only 12 days into my order and I already put this product on subscribe and save. I am using it for methi water (I adore it hot!!), I make a hair tonic and I am working on a formula for a skin spray. To speak of the effects, I have not yet noticed my intended results but I will say in this short time my lips look way fuller? Haven’t heard or read of anyone else experiencing that – but I’ll take it!

Great except for the occasional seed that doesn’t soften when soaking.

I soak some of the dry fenugreek seeds in water for at least 24 hours and then have a little bit each morning. It’s great and I’d give it 5-stars except for the seeds that stay hard that you have to watch out for. I almost cracked a tooth on it the first time I found a hard one. Now I’ve gotten into the habit of putting some of the soaked seeds onto a dish and feeling around for a hard one before eating any of them.I’ve also planted some of the seeds and they’ve sprouted and are growing towards full size.Oh, and yes, I smell like maple syrup and love it. haha

Great product! Tip: How NOT to break your teeth eating Fenugreek seeds:

The product is exactly as advertised and well packaged in a resealable pouch of better than average quality.Several negative reviews claim there are rocks in the seeds. This is not correct. But a seed that is not softened is nearly rock hard and WILL break your teeth. Here’s how you prepare them so they will all be soft enough to eat:Put a 1/4 cup of seeds in a coffee cup. Pour 1/2 a cup of boiling water on them. Boiling, not just hot.Make sure all the seeds are in the water. If you want to add a little sweetener or flavoring do it now. I use “SweetLeaf Sweet Drops Liquid Stevia Sweetener” of various flavors, like cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, peppermint, etc.Cover and let set for 15 minutes (if you rush it, there might still be some hard seeds).Enjoy!

    Works wonderfully for CCCA alopecia

I’ve been using this to treat my hair loss condition for the past two weeks and it has worked wonderfully. People who have scarring alopecia know, (Mine is CCCA, Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia) the alopecia comes with inflammation and pain. After the first time, the pain was reduced. I’m on my third time and the is almost no pain at all. I haven’t been using long enough to see if it will actually help my hair grow back, but I can tell that it is helping my body! The smell is a little strong, but there are articles online on how to mask it.A weird side effect I noticed is that the smell would make my ovaries clench. It almost felt like I was ovulating or pre-period cramps. It makes sense since fenugreek is supposed to have phytoestrogens.I like to soak it for three days until it sprouts then bland it into a paste. Sprouting activates more of the nutrients dormant in the seed.

    Awesome for hair growth!

I boil the seeds and make a tea. It has a bitter taste almost like coffee without cream or sugar…I like it. It has a maple smell and the bag lasts forever. I drink a 1/2 glass every night before going to bed. My hair has grown like crazy and my weight has also stabilized…not saying this will work for everyone, but it works for me…DISCLAIMER!! Be sure to ask your dr. first if you’re able to drink as a tea. It is suggested to ask your dr. because if you have any underlying health issues such as diabetes or low sugar, or any other health issues this may not be good for you.

    They sprout–but a lot don’t

Very happy these sprouted, but unhappy with the amount that didn’t. There are pieces of seeds and then seeds that simply don’t sprout. And even with a small amount of these, if you get them in your food with the sprouts (you can’t see the tiny pieces, hard pieces, or non-sprouters) they are so hard when you chew them, it feels like you’ll crack a tooth. Completely ruins any enjoyment of having fenugreek sprouts in sandwiches, salads, etc. This happened even with culling the seeds before-hand. You’d have to be a magician to know what will sprout and to get out all those tiny hard pieces that look like broken chaff. If Anthony’s could find a way to filter these (and they can because for a long time we’ve bought fenugreek elsewhere without this problem), it would be great because the ones that do sprout are good sprouters!

Made my hair GROW thick & longer than ever!

I’m 49 and my hair is longer, stronger and thicker than it’s ever been in my life! I just put 2 teaspoons of seeds in a bottle of water. Let it sit for a day and drink it. I try to do it everyday but after 3 months I really noticed the difference in my new growth and all the breakage stopped. This was the only thing I changed in my hair routine.

Ground Fenugreek in My Hot Coffee

I tried this product for health benefits – diabetes, inflammation, weight loss, heart and blood pressure. Not sure how much this has helped in these areas, since I take a lot of supplements, but it tastes good in my coffee. I put a teaspoon ground up in my hot coffee with turmeric, pepper, ginger, collagen, chia, cinnamon, stevia, and cashew milk. It softens up the granule chunks and adds a nutty flavor. Yum!

Non-Gmo, great quality, excellent value, high in iron and for pain

I love this and use these seeds (after soaking in water overnight to maximize effectiveness) for pain management (nature’s diazepam without side effects) and anemia treatment (super high in easily-absorbed iron). One should roast or soak the untreated seeds for max benefit. They swell up nicely and are, to me, pretty tasty as they are, reminiscent of wheat berries but not quite as chewy. Roasted seeds may be ground into flour. Soaked ones can be eaten straight or added to other foods. I add them to pancakes, cookies, soups and salads. Vegetarians and vegans should take extra note. Anemics – These are a powerhouse for easily absorbed iron. I soak 3/4 cup in chlorine free water overnight and add to food throughout the day – from soups to salads, even straight brcause I like the texture.

    Great for sprouting

Finding fenugreek for sprouting is not easy. This does the job. Almost all seeds germinate. Great price.Fengurek is very healthy. It has a good effect on women’s health.Sprouts are a great way to include them in your diet. I add them to salads, soups, omelets, etc. For me, fenugreek tastes better as sprouts. I sprout them for about 3-4 days. The taste changes with the germination time.

Very impressive! Not bad at all!

Was a skeptic at first but I have to say these fenugreek seeds are amazing. I soak the seeds in a small container in water in the fridge overnight and in the morning add two heaping teaspoons to my Greek yogurt and it taste great! May be just a tad bitter but nothing compared to what some people have commented about bitterness!! Totally doable and I love the taste!!! I will always have these healthy seeds daily!!! Great product!

    Getting used to the taste

I’m using this to jumpstart my hair growth (plus taking 2 capsules) while drinking the tea. I’m steeping 2 teaspoons into 2 cups boiling water that’s in a thermos. I drink this first thing in the morning. The bitter taste isn’t pleasant but not horrible either. I first did 1 Tb of seeds which was too much and too bitter. This formula is good. I’m using this same tea to spray on my dry curly hair and put on my face in the morning to freshen up. Works well. So far I’ll keep it up. Helps my digestion too.

    Naturally increase bust size

Fenugreek has an interesting smell and flavor. It’s kind of like maple syrup. I like to make a tea out of the seeds and save the seeds after making tea for either putting on salads or just eating. An interesting note, the consumption of fenugreek makes your bust size larger. Yes, it’s true. A friend of mine told me that her breasts became larger after consuming them for a while. I thought they looked larger, too, so I decided to try them out for myself, since after having children and nursing, my breasts lost a lot of volume. Sure enough, about a week later my breasts had “plumped up”. I’m not quite sure how it works, but I’ve also read that fenugreek is great for lactating mothers. If you quit taking it though, you were lose that volume. I ran out of fenugreek and my breasts shrank back down. I’ve since bought more (I love Anthony’s Fenugreek. Great fenugreek and great deal), and my breasts filled back out. I love it, and I’ll never stop making my fenugreek tea and eating the seeds. Don’t eat the seeds out of the bag, though. You’ll need to make tea with them first. Hope this review helps! 🙂

Who Said These Seeds Don’t Sprout?!

This is some fresh, wholey alive , quality funegree seeds. I soak 1 TBSP of seeds in 2 glasses of water almost every night and drink the water and eat the seeds every morning for smooth digestion from beginning to end. This Saturday I drank the water but did not feel like eating the seeds. And this sprouted forest is what we got by Sunday morning after leaving them on the counter (we noticed them in the afternoon). In the questions, somebody asked if these seeds sprouted and the answers given were “No” or these seeds aren’t in the condition to sprout. Who is lying? 😂😂 Either way, I’m pleased they do sprout. Now I will probably follow this cycle: soak seeds every night per usual, drink the water the next day and eat the ssproted seeds that were soaked two nights before. Good stuff.

    Fantastic raw seeds

These were better than I hoped.Returned from India with a need to add to my spice cabinet for food and personal care. These seeds are renowned for nutrition and for hair care.Found these on Amazon (have enjoyed this brand for other items) so tried it.You can drink the water (soak seeds over night) first thing in the morning for digestion and energy.Soaked seeds made a messy but super effective hair mask for shine and strengthing.Added to my freshly ground spices for cooking. And the extra seeks from soaking in the morning? They sprout and are growing in a few small herb gardens around the yard. One problem is that the chickens love these little sprouts. I know the sprouts are edible too, but I’m still adjusting to all the uses for this amazing spice.

    Fenugreek for milk supply

I purchased this product to help my supply while exclusively breastfeeding. I’ve bought it multiple times, and the quality is consistently good. The resealable bag is convenient; I don’t have to transfer it to another container. While some lactation consultants advise against fenugreek for breastfeeding moms as it can lower or increase your supply, I’ve had a positive experience. When I don’t drink it, I notice a dip in my supply. I boil one tablespoon of fenugreek for each cup of water, adding sugar to taste. Combine it in a pan, bring it to a boil (avoid boiling for too long), remove from heat, and strain. Boiling too long or skipping straining can make the drink bitter. It is also way cheaper than my local health store.

High quality seed, very high germination rate for jar sprouting.

I have been trying various foods for health benefits. I have a coffee grinder that does a splendid job of grinding seeds and spices. I find these seeds to be very clean so I can grind them for cooking, etc. I also enjoy growing sprouts in jars as another way to get fresh veggies from my hippie garden on the counter in my kitchen. These seeds began sprouting in less than 24 hrs. Two or 3 table spoons in a quart sprouting jar will produce plenty for 2 people at just pennies per batch. Today is day four and the sprouts are turning green from chlorophyll. They are delightful and crunchy. They are not, by nature, sweet and tend to be normally a little bitter. I enjoy them as fresh greens by themselves or sprinkled into a salad. I also like to drop fresh sprouts into a stir fry or soup, avoiding overcooking. These can also be stored for emergency food during a crisis as a legume or getting fresh sprouts to keep you healthy.

    For DIY oil

I like the smell of these seeds so much that I might find recipes to work them into. For now, I am using them to make a DIY scalp and hair oil. I have some fenugreek oil that I bought and love because it keeps my grey hair in check! But it’s very pricey. I tried making oil by grinding these seeds and soaking them in oil (olive oil for one batch and apricot for another). So far I’m not getting the strength I want. I think I am going to need to use some mild heat.In the meantime, I do plan to use these in food somehow. The smell is really nice – nothing like the neem oil that I just cannot handle.I think that for 2 pounds and such good quality (as far as I can tell), the price is really fair.

    Increases breast milk production

I ordered the fenugreek to try and increase my milk production as I am currently exclusively pumping for my NICU baby and while I was producing what he needed right now, was not producing the 24oz per day that the lactation resources I was reading told me I should be by 4-5 weeks after birth. I added a tablespoon of the fenugreek to my spice grinder and mixed the powder in with my oatmeal every day and over the course of a week went from producing about 16oz per day to over 21oz per day. I will keep pumping around the clock and see what happens.

    spice used in Indian cooking

got it to lower blood sugar and it was in several recipes I wanted to try. It does smell like maple syrup but does NOT taste like it. needs to be roasted and ground and it is a hard seed so tough to do, I wound up using a seed sprouter so I could add the sprouts instead and there is near 100% germination. the sprouts also work when the recipe calls for fenugreek leaves. go fig?

I had never had fenugreek seeds before, but it was recommended by a friend, for health reasons. I soak the seeds in boiling water and when they have softened, I drink the tea and eat the seeds. I love the smell of them. They make me think of Indian restaurants. I drink/eat them morning and evening, without any sweetener, but it does have a bitter taste, so some people might want to add some honey, or maple syrup.

    Good for Stomach

WI have acid reflux and small duodenal ulcer and have to watch everything I eat. Yep….living on a bland diet. Can’t stomach too much acid in products such as ketchup, tomatoes, oranges and all the great stuff I use to love. Fenugreek is great stuff, but along with licorice root it’s even better to make a tea that soothes the stomach and take away the pain of eating not right sometimes is caused. It coats the stomach someway in a way better than the antacid tums. It’s a lot of seed in this 2 lb bag and great deal, but I’m not sure if I can store it in freezer for a more fresh quality over time…..Maybe would form ice crystals over time in there? Anyway, I had some before that seemed to keep long time , without problem, not in freezer. Can’t add much sweetener in tea I mentioned as licorice makes sugar or sweetener seem 50 times as sweeter.

I decided to purchase this brand, even though people were talking about some stones that they found there.I soaked two table spoons in water overnight. The seeds sprouted on a second day and tasted good, but I was chewing them really carefully in case if there are any stones. And there were! You have to chew really slow otherwise you risking to definitely break your teeth. I have collected all the stones I got from two table spoons and it was approximately a quarter of a teaspoon. They look exactly like the seeds until they are sprouted. I posted pictures. Besides that, the seeds are great. But this is a pretty big downside of a product.

    This Sucks…

I tend to have a good experience with this brand but I definitely received a bad batch of Fenugreek seeds. They had no aroma whatsoever and the seeds were darker/faded. What’s strange is the expiration date says 2024, so idk. Could be that things just happen due to environmental impacts. But they’re definitely bad. It sucks I can’t return or exchange the item.

    An almost expired product

Not happy with this purchase because it’s expiration date is less than 3 months away. This type of product usually has 2 year expiration period when they are manufactured. An almost expired product naturally is less fresh and has less aroma.
