Inconsistent product
First bottle was fine, after finishing first one, I decided get second one. That arrived some crushed nuggets, not big deal. But there is a difference taste and not easily dissolve under tongue like first one. Expiration date is ok, but I am not sure why there is a such difference.

I love this brand and ordered two strenghts which arrived separate. The 5000 is great. the 10,000 is all stuck togetheer and when I try to get them apart they break open. I’d love suggestions on what to do.

Unlike other brands, these little nuggets melt quickly under the tongue. I didn’t really feel a great sense of energy because I don’t have a problem in that area, so I can’t attest to the increase in energy. B12 has many health benefits, and that’s why I take it. WebMD.com has a great article on the health benefits of B12. It gives information about deficiency as well. It is also a great supplement for fibromyalgia.B12 is low on toxicity so 5000mcg is not too much. I’ve done research on the internet to determine the optimum dosage of this vitamin and it is 5000mcg. You can google it. There is a wealth of information on these sites.Vitamin B12, also known as cyanocobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that helps maintain red blood and nerve cells and is needed to make DNA. B12 may also help prevent hearing loss and cognitive decline by increasing blood flow to the inner ear and brain.

Inconsistent across bottles
Have ordered two bottles so far. Instructions say to place the pellets under your tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing. The pellets in the first bottle barely dissolved over even 2 minutes under my tongue. The ones in the second bottle were nearly fully disolved in 30 seconds.

Oh it works alright!
Definitely works, but make sure you actually need it. After a little over a month of taking this daily, my b12 blood test came back over 2,000! Anything over 900 is high. Apparently I didn’t need it.

Doesn’t dissolve under tongue as it should
I’m ok with it not dissolving under the tongue as it should because the company said they were aware of this but it doesn’t affect the potency of product. I just leave under tongue until finally gone or bite to help it along. I can definitely tell when I take product. Great B12

When it comes to supplements I know I can trust Solgar
I can confidently say this form of B12 works well for me. I am a senior citizen and my doctor suggested I take B12. I have a blood test every six months and my B12 level is good since taking the Solgar B12. You can trust Solgar. They care about their products. Vitamins lose potency when exposed to air, heat and light so Solgar packs their vitamins in brown glass bottles to maintain the potency they packaged. Great supplement—the claims for it are true!
Hi!My husband and I are 69 and 71, respectively. We take quite a few supplements, but nothing we have ever tried has had such an immediate effect–in less than a month on Solgar 5000 mcg B-12 we both notice increased energy, endurance and mental alertness!John would be so exhausted following his sedentary workdays (as ad min asst) that he’d be too exhausted to even sleep–just “wiped out”. He was at the point of resigning from one of his two workdays, though he loves the ministry we in which we’re involved…He’d almost given up hope of finding help.John had had a cardiologist eval and an endocrine one, with all testing coming back “normal”. Tests even showed our B12 levels to be WNL (OK), but we question this….We had been somewhat erratically taking some B-12, but only 1000mcg and one not “methylcobalamin”; we’d noticed no effect.I discovered this one on another site, with 100+ reviews, almost all 5 star—It seemed almost too good to be true, as they claimed immediate effects on energy, sleep, mental alertness and just a general sense of well-being. They stressed the importance of buying the “methylcobalamin” type, as it is more readily absorbed and used by the body.We ordered one bottle of 60 from Amazon–just a month’s worth for the two of us–and let it slowly dissolve in our cheeks (It’s bigger,”nugget”-sized, so takes about an hour to dissolve)No particular taste, but pleasant…it’s water-soluble, so any not needed by the body is just eliminated (washed out by the kidneys)I’ll close now, as I am on this site to order 2 more, before the month is even through!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 🙂 Jan W.

I have Pernicious Anemia and this product saved my life…LITERALLY! I started having vague symptoms of numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. I went to the doctor, and nothing was found. 9 months later, the symptoms were HORRIBLE! Entire limbs were “falling asleep” and it was bad. I also had buzzing and vibrating over various parts of my body and it was pretty much constant. As a new nurse, I recalled learning about Pernicious Anemia and the symptoms of Vitamin B12 deficiency in school. I pretty much diagnosed myself and I found this product at a local health food store. This was the highest dose of the good form of B12 that I could find, and I started taking it 3 times per day because I was desparate. I would lay in bed at night and pray to God that my son didn’t find me dead in the morning. That’s how bad the symptoms were from this problem. Meanwhile, I was going to another doctor who was testing me for MS, and doing all sorts of test. But, by the time he got around to everything, months and months, and months went by, and slowly my syptoms were getting better because of THIS PRODUCT! I honestly think I would have died had I not found this product and started taking it and treating myself. Another year rolled by before they did blood work regarding intrinsic factor and my stomach lining. (Which I had told the 2nd doctor that I went to that I thought I had a Vitamin B12 deficiency) Once they finally did it, they did find that my stomach lining no longer produced Intrinsic Factor and that I could not absorb B12. Then, I started the injections, and I am much better today. I still do have some vague numbness and tingling because it went too long before it was caught, and I have some nerve damage. I still take this product because here lately there is a shortage of B12 injections at the pharmacy where I live. I cannot imagine why, but I am having a difficult time getting it from any pharmacy in my area. I will always keep this product in my home .I am now ordering it online here at Amazon because I save a ton of money buying it here. I am pleased that I found this on Amazon and I am very happy with the price, therefore, I will continue to order this here. Thank you for the quick shipment and the great price!

Noticed a difference
I was surprised I’ve taken other sublingual B-12 and didn’t notice anything but if I forget to take these I notice a bit of a difference probably cause I’m older and I’m not getting the benefit from my food alone anymore. I’m going to continue with these in this brand as long as they leave them alone and don’t try to “improve” them which most times ruins stuff.

As someone who’s severely B12 deficient, you can really feel the difference.
As someone who’s been struggling with health for 2 years, my holistic Dr told me that vitamin B12 is only readily absorbable / useable by injection or sublingual (most people lack the enzyme to digest and process B12, whilst some may most cannot). I never believed her until I took this and noticed a major change in all my symptoms. It’s absurd that they sell regular B12 on the shelf that does absolutely nothing if your body can’t properly absorb it. Everyone’s caveat seems to be the length for dissolving but honestly it doesn’t bother me, I just rotate where I’m holding it in my mouth and it has a mild cherry flavor.

Does what it is supposed to do –> raises serum level of Vit. B12
Several years ago, during some routine blood tests, my Primary Care MD determined that my serum level of B12 was at the very low end of normal. Probably a reflection of aging. Recommended that I take Sublingual Vit. B12 for health maintenance. Subsequent blood tests showed that my serum B12 levels had come up to the middle of the recommended range. (Note that I take a Folic Acid 400 mg. cap with each dose of B12.)

I notice a positive difference in my energy level with these.
They changed these to take longer to dissolve. Maybe there is a reason for that, I don’t know. But the taste is great, and they are small. The only thing I don’t like about the change is that they are hard- like little rocks now. But like I said, there may be a good reason for that change. They have a very pleasant taste, and I have noticed having more energy since starting these.

No more exhaustion!
These taste really good. They dissolve quickly under the tongue and are really no trouble to take at all. I can not even begin to tell you how much better I feel when I take these! I am currently taking a whole one and will finish the bottle before reducing to a half dose. I do think the dosage is a little high and would like to try to cut it in half to reduce cost a little and to try to avoid any potential harm. However, it will be experimental as I really do feel great on a high dose. I will definitely be buying these again and again! I have had so much trouble with chronic fatique and have been told by many doctors that I will always have to suffer because of having had mono in the past. Why couldn’t they have suggested B12?? This has really helped turn my life around! No more sitting down and resting every 30 minutes. No more 4 hour naps in the afternoon! I hope this will last and isn’t too good to be true, but after taking these for a week, I feel better than I have in 10 years!

Helps prevent my severe leg cramps
Lifesaver in regard to preventing severe leg cramps. I have had severe leg cramps since I was a child and until I realized I needed more magnesium in my diet, I suffered cramping that was very difficult to deal with. Diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease ten years ago, I had to change my diet to avoid anything with gluten in it; I increased salads, raw vegetables and other wholesome foods, yet the cramping continues unless I take magnesium and other supplements every day. This chelated magnesium does not give me the lose bowels that magnesium citrate does. If I forget to take the magnesium one day, and get cramps, it only takes an hour or two for the cramping to stop – seems like the effect of the magnesium is fairly quick. Highly recommended.

Great for sleep and mental health
I had a severe b12 deficiency which had a great impact on my mental health. No doctor ruled it out until my mother asked me to check my blood serum level.My symptoms which were severe insomnia, extreme anxiety and accuse OCD completely disappeared after taking more than 16 shots of b12 1000mg methylbobalamin shots.My levels now are above 500 which is the ideal for well mental and nerves health, I’m energized I sleep well and anxiety has disappeared.I take Solgar b12 3 Times a week to maintain a good level of the vitamin that is extremely essential.Solgar is a great brand and I trust all their products.The supplement is doing the job as I’m checking regularly my blood level and they are well maintained with this Solgar supplement.

Quality product!
I believe, with consistent use, you can definitely tell the difference in about one to two months. Some people can tell the difference in a couple of days. I’ve appreciated it because, paired with Lysine, it is a core treatment for my canker sores! Praise God for supplements, because I can enjoy food again and life a whole lot more, as well.

This supplement works for energy.
Tastes great easily absorbs. I don’t metabolize vitamin B unless it’s active like this is. Which means I have zero energy. This helps me to function better. Initially it’s pretty strong. I tried cutting in half but went back to full dose.

Good stuff!
I like this as I usually do almost all Solgar products. Easily melts under your tongue where it must be absorbed because I have noticed much more energy since I started taking it. For two weeks I used it everyday, but now take it only about 2 or 3 times a week. Most likely perfect for persons with any gastric absorption issues.

First time to take sub lingual B12 and I’m quite pleased with this brand
Very good quality company, the taste of the sublingual is a very pleasant cherry. Recommended to me and a support group I belong to.One word of caution, too high a dose of vitamin B 12 can cause some side effects that go away when you stop taking it for a day or two or Cut the Nuggets into for a more pieces like I did. It’s still very therapeutic and helps my neuropathy very much but after three weeks of supplementing with the 5000 µg, I had to cut back on my dosage. You need to be aware of the side effects, but I have no hesitation using this product at all. I just cut it into smaller doses.

Only 39 tablets in a bottle marked 60.
I have been using these for a couple of months and have been pleased, since I trust the Solgar brand. However, when I opened the bottle in my last order, the bottle looked rather empty. I counted them out to find that there were only 39 tablets in the bottle when there should have been 60. I believe other reviews mentioned the same issue. Sadly, I will now be changing brands since I do not want to be taken advantage of again. Solgar’s quality control seems to be lacking.

Take this in hopes to help the Myelin Sheath. Trigeminal Neuralgia.
I purchased one bottle in the beginning of February of 2017. I kid you not – I felt a difference 3 days in! I am maxed out on my GABAPENTIN medication daily allowed doseage for Trigeminal Neuralgia. Due to bad reactions to Trileptal, Tegretol, & Carbamzapine (plus their ‘cousins’). My Neurologist told me I have no other options levitation wise. I learned about this particular brand and kind of b12 through a Trigeminal Neuralgia Support Group on FB. I can not say it enough – find a support group! They were the ones to bring Sublingual Methyl b12 5000 mcgs to my attention. So many Trigeminal Neuralgia patients have found plenty of relief after taking this kind of b12! I am extremely THANKFUL my body is feeling so much better! I still have electrical shocks and burning pain but NO WHERE NEAR AS BAD as before February!!!! Highly recommend this brand & kind to others! For some it takes 4-12 weeks to feel a difference. Hope this helps you!

Deeper sleep and better energy
I have a mthfr mutation and read recently that adding methylb12 was necessary. I noticed a nice even energy all day and I was pouring myself less cups of coffee (and I love coffee). Then I noticed I was actually tired at bedtime and *wanted* to go to bed. After decades of sleep issues that no amount of trying to fix I had developed a dread of bedtime and usually got quite anxious and awake at bedtime. But with the b12 I actually wanted to go to bed! And then I slept deeper and much longer cycles of sleep! It’s not every day of my cycle, but it’s more then zero. This has really been a miracle to me. I’m curious if I’ll have the same results on solar’s lower dose.

Seems to work well for me
Tiny tablets are much easier to deal with than caps that can be hard to take. Previously I bought my suppliments from Swanson, and a few from Pure Encapsulations but the quality of Swanson B12 was evident. My only gripe is using cotton to protect contents, as it’s often treated with pesticides deemed too unsafe to eat.

Works Great!
I really feel the energy I need daily. I have Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia. Because of this, I am usually fatigued. I go in every month to get a B12 Shot to help with the Fatigue, I still get the B12 Shot monthly, but I have to say! This has helped me a BUNCH! In between the B12 Shots. I like the taste but the tiny pill does not dissolve easily, unless! You chew it 1st, then let dissolve under you tongue. Then it dissolves easily. I take together with a Sublingual Vitamin C, so they can dissolve together. I recommend highly! I only “Pray” they keep selling it here on Amazon. Sometimes you get use to buying a Product that works great! Then SUDDENLY IT NOT AVAILABLE! So “Please keep selling it Amazon?”

Active B12 … the Methyl form of B12 really is better.
I prefer a tablet that dissolves 100% under the tongue. These are placed under the tongue first, then swallowed. Not really a true sublingual as far as I understand it. That said, I felt they were very effective and, without taking a blood test, seemed to really work.After 3 years of B12 injections, I’ve found that the sublinguals are nearly as effective as the shots for dealing with low B12 symptoms. I’d have to assume that it would be adequate to prevent low B12 levels in vegan/vegetarian households as well.It’s very difficult to OD on B12 … I’d have to say that it’s good insurance for anyone.NOTE: Due to their near-candy-like taste, just to be sa%ežbe sure to keep these up high and out of the reach of children.

Works for people who have difficulty absorbing B12
I have a medical condition that inhibits B12 absorption through the intestine. I had been on the very low end of the desirable range for B12 in the blood stream for several years and then became deficient. I have taken this supplement for several months now – a few times a week but not every day. My last blood test showed I’m now at the top end of the desirable range. I like that this tablet is designed to be absorbed by dissolving under the tongue as this provides an alternative for people like me who don’t have great uptake in the small intestine.

You have to bite the tablet a couple of times to get it to start dissolving. Entire tablet takes too much time to dissolve.
